Top Flite XL 15-Piece Golf Club SetReviewsThis is the first set for my seventeen year old golfer. He really likes them. They are lightweight and seem to be very durable. I've been out to the driving range three times since receiving my set. My only complaint is that the Driver head has 3 dents on the top after only the first day at the range. I'm a beginner so I'm not a 100% sure if this is a byproduct of being such a hack at golf or poor quality of the club material. I'm leaning towards poor quality of that specific club since the others in the bag have so far survived my amateur swing. The bag is nice with plenty of pockets. Good starter set for a beginner at a bargain price. The only thing holding it back from being an excellent buy, was the aforementioned issue with the driver. This is an excellent starter set for the value. All the clubs seem friendly and tough. Go buy a few balls and tees, and bam, you have everything you need to play golf. Some particulars: only the Driver is a graphite shaft. All the rest are steel. However, I have had excellent results with the steel shafted #3 fairway wood. Also, the putter is very nice - it's one of those big ones with all the lines to help you set up your shot, which is something a beginner like me definitely needs! Overall, I highly recommend this set. It will take you a long time to outgrow it. I've had these clubs for about 6 months. Like others I dented the driver right away. Since then the clubs have held up well. For the price the set and the bag are a great deal. My only complaint/suggestion to Top Flite would be to replace one of the middle irons with a sand wedge (a wedge doesn't come with the set). I bought this set for my son. We were delighted with this decision. The set turned out even better than we thought. Thank you for providing quality service and delivery! I would definitely buy from this seller again! They're round, dimpled, in this case, also yellow, and they fly just as errantly as the white ones (at least, when I hit them). I am colorblind and the Top Flite XL yellow golf balls allow me heretofore unavailable excellent visibility of where my golf shots go and where they end up. If you would like to hire an instructor to help you learn to play golf, consider a professional instructor or someone who has a lot of past experience in golf training. The first thing that you will learn is the difference between clubs and the names of each. At first, golf training may seem intimidating because there are so many clubs and they are each used for a different situation. But, after a few golf training lessons, you will be able to recognize the clubs and their intended use in a snap.
It may be a good idea to learn to play golf on a beginner level before hiring an instructor. Become familiar with the clubs by purchasing an instruction book or video. These type of manuals offer an introduction to the different clubs, how to grip them properly and even the proper way to swing. By reading closely, or watching an instructional video, you will enter into golf training with more confidence. Rather than starting from scratch, your instructor will notice that you will likely learn to play golf a lot faster than absolute beginner students.
If you aren’t comfortable staring on your own, there is nothing wrong with entering golf training as a beginner. After all, that’s what the training is for. For practice purposes, it is a good idea to have access to a full set of golf clubs during the times that golf training isn’t being given and you would still like to practice. Your instructor may or may not ask that you practice but, if they do, it will help you to be better prepared for future golf training lessons.
When selecting a golf training instructor, you may even have the option to learning to play at a golf course. Many golf training instructors work one-on-one with students while others offer instruction to a group of students, which is similar to any other type of class. Online instruction is for anyone who doesn’t want to leave home or doesn’t have the time to attend regular classes, but this type of golf training does not provide an actual hands-on teaching technique.
